Mass grain harvesting campaign begins in Belarus

A nationwide grain harvesting campaign has begun in Belarus, BelTA learned from representatives of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 28 July Belarusian farmers collected grain and leguminous crops from 120,900ha or 5.3% of the planned area. This year's grain harvesting campaign began later than last year's.

Southern regions of the country are in the lead, with Gomel Oblast reporting 19% of the planned area as harvested and Brest Oblast reporting 10%.

Belarus takes measures to mitigate impacts of climate change on economy

Belarus is taking measures to mitigate the impacts of climate change on different sectors of its economy, Chief Researcher of the International Projects Department of the Belarusian Research Center Ecology Ivan Narkevich told a press conference on 26 July, BelTA has learned.

Tractor industry viewed as important for Belarus
