Belarus suggests establishing joint ventures to make agricultural machines to China's Gansu Province. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin made the statement as he met with Gansu Province Governor Tang Renjian on 4 September, BelTA has learned.

Anatoly Kalinin said: Belarus and Gansu have opportunities for further advancement of bilateral cooperation. Today you are going to be made familiar with the project of strategic importance for the two countries the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.

Lukashenko: Belarus wants to become world leader in potash fertilizers production

Belarus has outlined plans to become a world leader in the production of potash fertilizers, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Russian businessman, Chairman of the Board of IOOO Slavkaliy Mikhail Gutseriyev on 31 August, BelTA has learned.

The president remarked that Belarus is one of the leaders in the manufacturing and sale of potash fertilizers, including pelletized fertilizers, today.

Lukashenko, Putin discuss bilateral ties over phone
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko discussed topical issues of bilateral relations during a telephone conversation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Russian head of state.

The two leaders discussed the urgent issues of the bilateral and international agenda and also the schedule of upcoming contacts, reads the statement.

Vladimir Putin extended birthday greetings to Alexander Lukashenko and wished him strong health and further success.

According to the head of state, the level of the Belarusian-Sudanese interstate cooperation has recently improved. In the past six months Khartoum was visited by a number of Belarus' high-level delegations.

Belarus will fulfill all agreements with Egypt, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Egypt Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Hassan Shoukry on 28 August, BelTA has learned.

Belarus' central bank to reduce refinancing rate to 11.5% on 13 September

The Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) has decided to reduce the refinancing rate from 12% to 11.5% per annum on 13 September 2017, BelTA learned from the information and public relations office of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

The interest rates on standing and bilateral transactions designed to maintain banks' current liquidity will be reduced from 14% to 13% per annum.

Plans to raise first class pay rate in Belarus soon

There are plans to raise the first class pay rate in Belarus in the near future, Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov told the media after the meeting with the head of state, BelTA has learned.
