Lukashenko: Belarus, Ukraine able to deal with any problems

Belarus and Ukraine will manage to deal with all the existing problems for the benefit of their peoples, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko on 26 April, BelTA has learned.

Today we will be discussing our future and the ways to make lives of the Belarusians and Ukrainians better. We can do it. We will deal with the problems we have today, Alexander Lukashenko said.

Lukashenko comments on speculations about Belarus-Russia relations in Russian media

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko commented on certain speculations about Belarus-Russia relations in Russian mass media during the negotiations with Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Governor Valery Shantsev on 20 April, BelTA has learned.

The head of state emphasized that Russian mass media sometimes criticize the Belarusian-Russian relations. Certain media outlets continued doing so despite the constructive negotiations between the two leaders in Saint Petersburg.

Lukashenko to deliver State of the Nation Address on 21 April

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will deliver the annual State of the Nation Address on 21 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state will deliver the address during the joint session of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic.

The speech by the head of state will be broadcast live by the Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 TV channels, and the First National Channel of the Belarusian Radio.

Belarus president's visit to China planned for May

A visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to China is planned for May. This matter was discussed during a meeting between Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhang Dejiang in Minsk on 18 April, BelTA has learned.

During the visit of the Belarus president to China in 2016 the two countries signed a joint declaration on establishing relations of trustful comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Lukashenko: Belarus is ready to increase food supplies to China's Hunan Province

Belarus is able to increase the supplies of food products to China's Hunan Province, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with China's Communist Party Secretary of Hunan Province Du Jiahao on 13 April, BelTA has learned.

Hunan Province has found a reliable partner in the face of Mogilev Oblast and has been actively working with it. That is why at today's meeting the president invited the Chinese guest to discuss the aspects of cooperation with Mogilev Oblast in particular and Belarus in general.

Belarus president signs package of documents to advance Eurasian integration

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a package of documents relating to the advancement of Eurasian integration, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The package includes the treaty on the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union. The document is aimed at advancing integration processes and increasing volumes of trade between the Eurasian Economic Union and the rest of the world.

Br1,000 is a minimum amount and we should help people earn it. Then they will take care of themselves. Of course, we will encourage them. Directors and the government will do it. We must restore the level that we once had, Alexander Lukashenko said.

Semashko: Belarus, Russia agree on $1bn loan

Belarus and Russia have agreed on a new loan of approximately $1 billion, Belarus' Vice Premier Vladimir Semashko said in an interview to the ONT Channel on 9 April.

Vladimir Semashko commented on some of the results of the talks between the Belarusian and Russian presidents in Saint Petersburg on 3 April. The meeting of Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin resulted in the reopening of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development credit line.
