Belarus does not plan to join EU, but shows interest in EaP
Belarus does not plan to join the European Union but has an interest in its Eastern Partnership initiative, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko noted at the forum The European Union and its Eastern Partners: Current approaches to regional cooperation on 11 December, BelTA has learned.

Belarus does not intend to join the EU. However, since we are trading partners, we have many tourist, educational, and personal contacts with the EU and we are directly interested in the Eastern Partnership.

Belarus invites Russia to remove bottlenecks to solve bilateral problems
Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov offered Russia to remove bottlenecks to settle the issues of bilateral cooperation as he met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. The meeting is taking place in the run-up to the Belarus-Russia Union State Council of Ministers, BelTA informs.

Active bilateral contacts have been bringing certain results, including in trade and economy, Andrei Kobyakov said.

Belarus president clarifies peculiarities of clinic construction project in Minsk's suburb

Kazakhstan president to visit Belarus on 29-30 November

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is expected to hold official talks with his Kazakhstan counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev on 29 November. The Kazakhstan president will be paying an official visit to Belarus on 29-30 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The visit will take place as the two countries are marking 25 years of the diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan in 2017.

Kobyakov: Belarus is interested in tourism projects with Europe, China

Belarus has an interest in joint tourism projects with Europe and China, Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov noted at the Central Eastern European Countries and China (CEEC-China 16+1) Summit of heads of government in Budapest on 27 November, BelTA informs.

Andrei Kobyakov put forward an initiative on creating a tourism corridor that would connect sixteen Central and Eastern European countries and China via Belarus.
